Samipendra (Sami) Chaudhury leads Business Finance for Nielsen. Nielsen Holdings plc (NYSE: NLSN) is a leading global data and analytics company that provides a holistic and objective understanding of the media industry. Sami has deep finance & leadership experience and has spent 20+ years in various finance leadership roles in multiple industries and across US, Europe, SE Asia, Mid East & Africa and India. Sami is also a board member in the Nielsen Catalina Services JV.
Sami has been with Nielsen since 2010, and has been in Finance Leadership roles with increasing responsibility. Prior roles for Sami include Chief Finance Officer for Nielsen Emerging Markets based in Dubai ( 65+ Countries across Asia, Mid East, Europe, Africa & LATAM) & Finance leader for Nielsen Asia & Pacific based out of Singapore .
Prior to joining Nielsen, Sami was with General Electric for over ten years. He held various finance leadership roles across GE Aviation, GE Healthcare, GE Corporate Audit across US, Europe & Asia . Sami’s last role in GE was the CFO for GE Healthcare, Korea based out of Seoul.
Sami started his career as an Engineer with the TATA Motors Group in Jamshedpur, India & holds an undergraduate degree in Engineering and MBA with specialization in finance.
