Great customer relationship resulted in Finlabs getting into the IT services space as the existing customers kept coming back with more requirements – even beyond the finance domain. This pattern has led Finlabs to consider reinventing itself as a player in the broader space of IT services. The organization is thus at a phase of transformation – reinventing itself and scaling up.

One of the areas being explored is e-Commerce. That is where this position sits.

What You Will Do:

  • Assess client needs and promote suitable products
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules
  • Utilise your considerable company product knowledge and your knowledge of competitor products create value propositions that differentiate from competitors to address specific vertical industry challenges cross-segment capabilities
  • Meet with decision-makers and provide information about software products
  • Perform product demonstrations and training as needed
  • Negotiate sales prices
  • Construct pitches and sales presentations
  • Execute and deliver creative, thoughtful and competitive responses to all RFPs
  • Remain current on new developments in higher education technology

Skill Set Needed:

  • Written and verbal communication skills, including relationship-building and influencing
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, including spreadsheets and databases
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong sense of organization and time management
  • A management degree in Marketing is usually required for this position, especially if the job requires selling a scientific or complex software product.

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of IT/Financial Product software sales experience
  • Proven track record with impressive sales numbers
  • Excellent relationship-building skills on the phone and in-person
  •  Candidates from Fintech/BFSI domain is highly preferred
