Skills, Tools & Technology
Domain Expertise:
- Deep understanding of BFSI — particularly wealth management platforms, bond markets, mutual fund ecosystems, and regulatory compliance frameworks (SEBI, RBI, AMFI).
- Familiarity with financial product lifecycles: portfolio management, fixed income instruments, IAP/investor education mandates, and digital distribution channels.
Project Management Tools:
- JIRA (Advanced): Epic/story management, sprint velocity, Kanban boards, burndown/burnup charts, release planning, and custom dashboards.
- Confluence: Living documentation, BRD wikis, sprint retrospectives, and cross-team knowledge management.
- Monday.com / Asana / ClickUp: Cross-functional visibility dashboards and non-engineering stakeholdermanagement.
- Notion: Internal SOPs, project templates, and team knowledge bases.
- Microsoft Project / Smartsheet: For milestone-heavy client delivery timelines and resource planning.
- Slack / Microsoft Teams: Structured async communication, sprint channel discipline, and stakeholder status updates.
- Miro / Figma (Collaboration): Journey mapping, wireframe reviews, and workshop facilitation with design and product teams.
Engineering & Technical Acumen:
- Solid understanding of modern tech stacks — frontend (React.js, Angular), backend (Node.js, Python, Java/Spring Boot), mobile (Flutter/Dart), cloud (AWS / Azure / GCP).

- Understanding of data privacy, DPDP Act compliance, cybersecurity fundamentals, and BFSI-specific regulatory constraints.
Methodologies & Frameworks:
- Certified in PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent — at least one certification is required; multiple are valued.
- Hands-on Agile/Scrum practitioner. Knowledge of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) for multi-team program coordination is a strong plus.
- Strong command over SDLC disciplines: requirement elicitation, sprint planning, story pointing, UAT, release management, and hypercare.
What You Bring
- 10+ years of overall experience, with a minimum of 5 years in BFSI / fintech environments delivering custom software solutions.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering complex, multi-stakeholder financial technology projects end to-end — on time, on budget, on scope.
- Experience managing cross-functional engineering teams of 6–10 members, with direct line accountability for delivery performance.
- Strong BRD/SRS authoring experience — you are equally comfortable in a client workshop and a JIRA backlog grooming session.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. You can brief a CXO and a developer in the same day with equal effectiveness.
- High ownership mindset — you thrive in high-accountability environments and do not wait for direction when action is needed.
- Fluency with data: you read velocity charts, risk registers, and resource utilization dashboards the way others read news.
Bonus Points — What Sets You Apart
- Experience with bond market platforms, fixed income digital distribution, or algo-driven portfolio tools.
- Prior work on SEBI-regulated platforms, investor education mandates (IAP/IEC), or AMFI-compliant digital products.
- Familiarity with LMS or EdTech platforms — especially in a financial services learning context.
- Exposure to AI-augmented product development: LLM integrations, predictive analytics, or investing concepts. – MBA from a premier institution or CFA / FRM certification — an edge, not a requirement.
