Mr. Majumdar is an enterprising leader with 29 years of experience in industries like Finance, Telecom, Manufacturing & IT. He has been responsible for overall management of multiple centers, including Operations Setup, Organization Design, Vision, Strategy, Change Management, Post Merger Integration, and Governance. Mr. Majumdar believes in building holistic enterprise which has a purpose beyond profit. He is passionate about people, inclusion, purpose, culture, values, leadership development, innovation, and creativity.
Mr. Majumdar was associated with Principal Global Services for close to 15 years, 6 of which were as the Managing Director (on the Board). Prior to that he was associated with IBM, KPIT Cummins Infosystems, Satyam Computers, and NIIT. He has been instrumental in setting up organization to turning around south-bound operations. He has been credited for brand building while he has also passionately driven CSR programs in partnership with government authorities.
Mr. Majumdar has well rounded experience in functional domains like Finance, HR, Admin, Process Excellence, and IT. He has been involved in advisory capacity with start-ups, and has also been on advisory council for GOYN (Global Opportunity Youth Network, under supervision of Aspen Institute) for their Pune chapter. He has been on the GIC council, Pune chapter. He is a regular speaker in various industry forums and loves to coach leaders and executives while he also enjoys connecting with students and startups.
Mr. Majumdar’s numerous accomplishments range from maturing his organization (Principal Global Services) faster than the peer group to evolving his organization into a global innovation hub, from quantifying the value addition from a GIC to setting up several COEs, from being recognized by NASSCOM and other industry bodies for innovation, operations excellence, and CSR to evolving his organization into a global hub in a hub-and-spoke model. However, he is probably most proud of the culture he developed in his organization and the impact his organization had on the society (beyond profit).
A graduate of the University of Calcutta, Mr. Majumdar is passionate about mathematics, sketching, painting, reading, teaching, coaching, people development, and graphology.
